What To Expect

What Should I Wear?

What you normally wear. We're more concerned with meeting you than we are with what you're wearing. At River Valley you'll see some in a shirt and tie and others in a T-Shirt.

How Long Is The Service?

Each Sunday service lasts 60-75 minutes. We spend time singing, praying, and studying the Bible together. Our aim in each service is to worship God through a variety of means and to let His word "dwell in us richly" (Colossians 3:16).

Where Do I Go When I Arrive?

When you come in, you'll see our Welcome Desk and Children's Check-in Center, which are equipped with helpful people who can answer your questions. If you require wheelchair access, designated parking or seating, directions to our restrooms, or any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to ask or contact us ahead of time.

Is There Childcare?

KidsConnect provides free childcare for newborns up to children in fifth grade.

Also good to know...

During every service there is a time for:

Communion
This is a time for believers to remember what Jesus Christ did for us. We'll take the bread and drink the juice that represents his body and blood to "proclaim the Lord's death until He comes again" (1 Corinthians 11:26).
Offering

This is a time for those who call River Valley their church home to give back to God and to participate in God's work in our midst through our generosity. If you're our guest, we won't ask for your money. The service is our gift to you.

Response

At the end of each service, we create space for God's people to respond to His word. This is a time set aside for people to commit to following Jesus, to make the decision to call River Valley their church home, or to simply seek God in worship and prayer.

Still have questions?

Don't hesitate to call the church office at (502) 228-2828 or email us at pastoralcare@rivervalleychristian.org. We're here to serve you.
